For the renovation of this nineteenth-century farmhouse in the countryside of Pienza, in Val d’Orcia, the client requested a global restructuring of the building, with a modern, contemporary design, with simple and clean lines. All this had to be achieved respecting the architectural tradition and the spirit of the place.
Before the renovation work, the structure was in a state of neglect. Some parts of its structure had partially collapsed and were damaged.
The recovery operation has preserved the volume, the type of distribution, the materials and the structural shape of the original building, while implementing all the changes necessary to obtain high energy, functional and comfort results.
